Looking back on the weddings Austin & I have been a part of the past year or so, I truly think the couples showers were some of the most special events. When I sprung this idea on my parents they were honestly clueless & confused. They kept saying that when they were our age boys did not attend showers. My dad & stepdad were so confused they did not think they should attend. Haha. I told them otherwise, though. π
Any who, when the time came, my sweet BFF, who happens to be my MOH, offered to throw Austin & I a couples shower! We were ecstatic & so honored. The shower was absolutely perfect! From the fiesta theme, to every little detail Taylor thought of. Oh & let me tell ya, the cake she had made was honestly one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. Yum! My mouth is watering while I am typing this. π
If you are a bride-to-be or planning on being in the near future, and someone offers to throw you & your loved one a couples shower, I would definitely recommend taking them up on it! It was so fun having Austin be a part of a shower, since the rest are typically with just women. And having his groomsmen there made it even more special. Oh & if you are a single friend or bridesmaid/groomsmen, yes you can still attend the shower. I had several people ask me if they should come since they do not have a significant other. The answer is YES! We stuck to just inviting our parents & our friends in the bridal party, as we did not want the shower to be too big. The turnout was a great size & was a fun way to kick off the celebrations leading up to Austin & I’s big day!
Thanks to Taylor & her momma for making this shower absolutely perfect! Austin & I will cherish the memories forever. Oh & I am counting down the days until I get to spoil & shower you! π
Thanks for stopping by & happy #WeddingWednesday π
Also, thanks to Red Dress Boutique for the precious romper. All opinions are my own.Β
