Hi lady! SO sorry I have been MIA lately. Between starting a new job & planning a wedding, you could say life is cray. I am trying to squeeze in time at night to write some posts though, so hold me to that & new content coming soon ๐
Speaking of wedding planning, I had to share with you that I found THE dress. You know the dress I am talking about. The one we all dream of since we were like 6 years old. The one that we can picture ourself walking down the aisle to our prince charming in. I wanted to share my experience with you, because it was so fun & if you are a bride-to-be in Dallas, then you have to go where I went.
So I did not invite my bridal party to be apart of the dress process, simply because I wanted it to be an intimate moment with family! Also, I have heard horror stories from brides about too many friends going with them, & they become nothing but overwhelmed. With that being said, the only people that went was my momma, step-mom, two aunts & my college roomie, Meghan. I would not have changed the people I brought with me, because they were a great support system!
We went to Lulu’s Bridal Boutique in the Design District in Dallas & I was highly impressed. Sharon was my consultant & helped me find the perfect dress. She started the appointment out by having me pick out dresses I was drawn to in the store. I walked into the dressing room with about 8 dresses (oooppss), as I was trying to stay open minded, so I chose all sorts of styles. Needless to say, the dresses I picked out ended up not being my favorite nor were flattering for my figure. After about three dresses, Sharon said she was going to pull a dress she had a feeling I would love. I had the dream dress picked out in my head & Sharon ended up finding just that for me & it was the gown I ended up going with!
I was actually hesitant to turn around in the dream dress I went with, because I was nervous about what my family would say. However, when I turned around, my mom instantly started crying. That was when I knew I had found my dress! Lets be real- if momma cries, Geor cries. LOL!
November 12 cannot get here fast enough, because I am more than ready to put that gown on & feel like a princess for a day. Say prayers for me that I don’t cave & show Austin. I am the absolute worst with surprises. I think I will do okay with this one though ๐
If you’re a bride & have any questions, please shoot them my way! I am no expert, but I will try to help as best as I can. Have a fabulous day!
