Hello, friend & welcome back to the second part of my business attire series! I am so stinkin’ obsessed with this skirt, I could scream [I purchased it in store & it is not online anymore, but I linked a similar version]. The print is awesome for spring & summer & will make you standout amongst your coworkers.
Business casual can sometimes be tricky, as it varies from each workplace. However, I think there are some tips I can give you to help you achieve that appropriate business casual look you are going for.
For starters, I think it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed! With this being said, if you are new to a company & just starting out… always be sure your attire is above & beyond [I mean first impressions are everything ;)]! This outfit is one of my faves, because the skirt dresses it up & you achieve the perfect casual look with the chambray top! This outfit would be great for any business casual setting & is so easy to replicate with pieces you already have in your closet!
Another tip I would give about business casual, is always always always wear heels! This can instantly take your look from drag to fab [I promise]. Even if you are wearing some dark washed jeans & a nice top, you will be perceived that you are more dressed up than you are with a pair of pumps! Now ladies, I don’t mean whip out the stilettos for work… but you know what I am implying π
Now, I am no expert at business attire yet… so if you have any personal tips you live by be sure to comment below or shoot me an email!Β I hope this outfit inspires you to take pieces you already have in your closet & make it your own business casual look!
