Hey friends & happy bridal shower season. As we are entering April, & I have several bridal showers to attend, I thought it would be appropriate to go over what is & is not appropriate to wear to these lovely brides’ showers. I am such a sucker for weddings & happen to be in two [a week apart] this upcoming June! The giddiness seems to take over my body buying gifts for these sweet friends & trying to make their wedding season the most special season in their lives.
I love having the opportunity to get dolled up for a special occasion [who doesn’t love spending hours primping?]. I am a huge believer in looking your best to feel your best. It’s those days where our whole attire is living up to Texas’ saying “the bigger the better” that makes us girls feel like total rockstars. With that being said I have purchased several dresses for these upcoming occasions, that will also be great for church & date nights in the later spring months.
This dress I am wearing is on MAJOR sale from Revolve Clothing [seriously, go take a look at what I mean by major]. Navy is not particularly a spring color, but I added a little pink to brighten up. I love this dress for one of the showers I am attending, because it is classy yet full of details. If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a sucker for lace… especially when you add pom-pom details, I am sold!
RULES TO REMEMBER:
- When dressing for bridal showers I believe it is important to be classy, while maintaining extra girly [that’s if girly is your style, if not add your own flair].
2. Never wear white & when I say never, I mean NEVER. Not even if it is a beige or cream colored dress, do not even think about stepping over that line. Those colors are for the bride to wear & the bride only.
3. Always wear heels, because heels are the perfect accessory for any special event 😉
4. And last but not least, add the perfect lip color. Lips can take any look from drag to fab, I promise. I used to not be a fan of anything on my lips but chapstick, however I am slowly converting to the other side.
I have listed several dresses under $75 that would be great for a special shower or for any upcoming event you may have. I hope this helps you if you have events to attend this wedding season! Comment below if you have any other tips you live by when attending bridal showers or other special events.
xoxo

You can and will do whatever you do when make your mind up to it. You will take Austins breath away when he first sees you entering.
