Hey friend! I hope you have had a great week so far .
One of my big goals for this year pertaining to AMWG was to incorporate some of my other hobbies throughout my posts. One happens to be cooking and baking [unless I am cooking for just myself, then I am not a fan… what’s the fun in that?].
This past weekend I came across this strawberry cake recipe, but instead of using the oil that is called for in the recipe on the box you use vanilla Greek yogurt.
OMG. So good.
I figured I would share the recipe with you, because who doesn’t love a strawberry cake that’s semi healthy? I mean it makes a great late night snack when you have a sweet craving, if you ask me.
It would also make a yummy dessert to bring to a girls night or any party in the spring or summer, because it is lite and perfect for any girl watching their figure π
Recipe
1 Box of Betty Crocker Stawberry Cake Mix [super moist version]
1 /2 Cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt [I used Chobani]
3 Eggs
1 Cup of Water
Cool Whip [I used the lite version]
Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
Directions
- Heat over to 350 degrees
2.Mix together cake mix, water, yogurt and eggs until well combined
3. Spray 9 x 13 cake pan with pam, pour batter into pan
4. Bake for approximatley 3o minutes, or until middle is done. [Mine cooked for about 28 minutes]
5. Let cake cool
6. Cover the top with Cool Whip
5. Top with strawberries
I am anxious to hear what you think! Personally, I think it’s delicious. I am kind of thinking I want to try it with a chocolate cake and see how it tastes… chocolate is my weakness. If I do, I will be sure to let you know how it goes.
Thanks for stopping by on your Thursday.
Enjoy!
xoxo
