Wow! Today marks my official last first day of class. Where has the time gone [literally flown]? I wanted to be open & honest in this post & share some of the things I have learned over the past four years…& how thankful I am for the incredible education I have been blessed with.
I think it is safe to say college is the most life changing experience I will ever go through. From being on academic probation & wanting to move home my freshmen year, getting my act together & getting accepted to A&M, to falling in love & making some of the best friendships I will ever encounter. College, you have been pretty great & I would not change one single thing.
I know I know, everyone will tell you that college is the best experience of your life… but really it is way beyond that. It’s kind of crazy to wrap my head around because your parents move you to this brand new place & let you free for four years. Crazy if you ask me?
But my question for you is this. What do you want to do after those four years? What kind of person do you want to be? The whole world is yours & you can do anything you put your mind to. Everyone always tells us we can be anybody we want to be, & girl is that true. If you want to be a big time fashion designer, actress, or even a doctor, then do it & don’t let anyone tell you other wise. People will try to bring you down in this world, Β however we each have to learn to be strong & not let those people get to us. So after your four years of college who are you going to be & what do you want to do? I encourage you to write down the answer to that question & reflect on it whenever you graduate.
I am thankful I was raised to go after what I want & to not let anyone tell me no. Yes, this can sometimes be a not so great thing because wow am I persistent lol [my mom always say I would make a great sales person]. So girlfriend, just keep striving after the stars. Take chances & be that somebodyΒ that will make a difference in this world.
So for this last semester of college my goal is to make memories, see the world & find a career that makes me happy. And most importantly, be the person I want others to look up to. I want to make a difference. I want to make my dreams come true. So why strive for anything less? If college only teaches you one thing, let it be to be the best version of yourself during the four years & after.
So last semester of college, here’s to you… & most importantly here’s to growing up.
xoxo
