So this past weekend I got to throw my precious best friend & roommate an engagement party for her & her fiance. I have never truly hosted a party like this, so I learned that it was a lot of work but WOW was it fun. I love planning & hosting for others. So with this special event I decided to do a brunch with some breakfast foods & appetizers, along with a mimosa bar.
For the mimosa bar I filled these decanters, that my awesome hair dresser let me borrow, with different juices. I used mango, pineapple, OJ with pulp and OJ without pulp. I provided some fruits to fill your mimosa with, how fun & cute right? This mimosa bar was a hit!! I would encourage anyone who is hosting a party during brunch hours to have this bar setup for your guests.
And with mimosas, you have to have cute champagne flutes. I found these flutes with long stems for only $3 at TJ Maxx! I bought the Mrs & Mr stickers off Etsy, & wah-lah you have the perfect champagne glasses [that can also make great gifts].
When I came across these diamond cupcake toppers, I knew I had to use them somehow. So I had the bright idea of putting them in donuts for the brunch. They seriously turned out so stinkin cute! And I was even able to save them for future parties.
I decided to not only have breakfast food, but to have a couple dips also. In this picture you see ‘crack dip’ [because it is literally so delicious & addicting], buffalo chicken dip & my famous salsa [post on recipe coming soon]!
On the breakfast side of the table I made assorted muffins, crock pot cinnamon roll casserole, breakfast casserole & fruit dip for the fruit. These were all a success, especially the breakfast casserole… it was gone in a matter of minutes.
This cute confetti that is in the shape of diamond rings also came from Etsy & is reusable for other parties. It adds to the table & decor with very little effort.
The last decoration, that happened to be my fave, came from Etsy as well. These 16 inch balloons made the perfect background for pictures. Love, love, love!! You all need to invest in some of these for your next event.
So as you can all see, I purchased a lot of little, inexpensive things to make the party just perfect [at least I think it turned out perfect]. You can find so many reasonable things on sites like Etsy, & do not need to spend a fortune. I hope these pictures gave you some ideas for your next big party you are hosting.
And congrats to the future Bryant’s! I love you both so much & cannot wait to see the journey God leads y’all on.
Have a wonderful week!
xoxo
