July is finally here [where has this year gone], which means it’s time to get ready for one of my favorite holidays! There is nothing I love more than being outside [preferably by the lake], grilling out with friends & enjoying a firework show. This year Austin [my boyfriend] & I are flying up to Missouri to spend the weekend with his mom & family. With that being said, I knew I had to find the perfect outfit to wear on the 4th.
Now, I am still in the process of learning to like crop tops… but I think it is all about how you wear them. We all want to be perceived as classy ladies [duh, which we all are]. I found this perfect top from Riff Raff! The colors & details are on point for this special holiday, & so easy to throw on with high waisted shorts or jeans! Do y’all want to hear the even better part?! It was only $22!!! I repeat $22! I will warn you that wearing a bra is kind of tricky because the back of the shirt comes down so low, but that’s what they invented sticky boobs for right? This top will be a staple in my closet for the rest of summer for lunch dates or to grab some drinks. I love tops like this, that are so diverse & can be worn dressed up or down. So, go buy it now before it’s too late… you will get use out of it [I promise].
Along with July 4th, comes hot [& I mean scorching] weather in Texas. I hate wearing my hair down whenever I know I am going to get hot, so why not throw it up in a cute pony [like the one in these pictures]? You can all rock this high pony tail & it only takes five easy steps. 1. Tease the front section of your hair to give it some volume [works better with dirty hair & dry shampoo] 2. Pull your hair back to the crown of your head [because the bigger, the better here in Texas] 3. Use a plastic hair tie & tie it around the messy pony 4. Pull the pony tail making it tight & have volume 5. Take a little section of hair from the bottom of the pony tail & wrap it around the hair tie… secure with a bobby pin. Annnnnd wah-la! You have the perfect hair-do for being outside & it even looks cute in pictures π
Β I hope this has given you all a little July 4th inspiration on what to wear [if you are not going to be in a swimsuit all day/night long]!
Hope you all have a marvelous [&safe] weekend indulging in the sun, food, drinks, family & friends.
XOXO,
Geor
