I don’t know about you, but I cannot believe New Year’s is almost here! Where the heck did 2018 go? I couldn’t let the year come to a close without rounding up a couple NYE outfits! According to my Instagram poll, most of you prefer dressing down to ring in the New Year, so I decided to put together a glitzy and a more casual look with Macy’s!
I have personally loved all things shiny and sequins since I can remember. I always beg Austin to do something over the top for New Years, but we always end up going the safe route and go to the lake with our friends. It’s a blast, but sequin dresses would be a tad over the top π Maybe next year I will be able to talk him into taking a trip or attending a fancy NYE ball. A girl can dream, right?!Β
I am so excited, because I found this FreePeople swing dress on Macy’s website for under $100! I love the baby-doll fit and metallic details. It is perfect paired with booties or a pair of pumps, depending on how comfortable you want to be. Throw a fur jacket on top to keep ya warm and you will be ready to walk the “red carpet”! This is definitely a dressier look and not lake appropriate, but I am almost positive I will be able to find somewhere else to wear it next year. It’s so fun, so I can’t let the look go to waste π
Now for all you ladies that are going to be popping the bottle of champagne at a friends house, this next look is for you! I snagged these Articles of Society jeans from Macy’s for under $70 and paired them with this amazing FreePeople body suit. I typically hate wearing body suits, because they are usually extremely uncomfortable, but this one is a gem. It a tad more “sexy” than I typically lean towards, but I think it is perfect for New Years festivities. You could even pair it with a black leather skirt and it would dress it up tremendously!Β
If you are not feeling either of these looks then head to Macy’s The Edit! It rounds up all their glitzy pieces that will help you ring in 2019!
What are your New Year’s Eve plans? Do you plan on getting dolled up or not so much?
Thanks to Macy’s for this collaboration. All opinions are my own.
